Chronic pain · Perth
Which is why the scan came back clear. Why stretching helps for an hour and then it is back. And why you have now seen four people about it and you are still here.
Tell me what is going on Four questions, about a minute. I am usually in with someone, so I will get back to you between clients. Same day where I can. Already know you want in? Book onlineOr just text me on 0410 349 919. I am treating most of the day, so I will read it between clients and get back to you, usually the same day.
If you read that and recognised yourself, you are the person I work with. If you are after an hour of relaxation, I am genuinely not the right fit and I would rather say so now.
The area you keep rubbing is the one paying for something else.
Why it keeps coming back
Before you book or spend anything. Four questions on this page about what is happening and how long it has been happening. I am usually treating, so I will get back to you between clients and tell you honestly whether this is something I can help with. If it is not, I will point you to who can.
60 minutes. I work out where the problem is actually coming from, treat it, and you leave with a written plan and a clear explanation of what we are dealing with.
Chronic presentations do not resolve in a single session, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you the thing that has already failed. We work to a plan across several weeks and reassess as we go, so you can see it moving.
The goal is you not needing me. You finish with the work done and the things you need to keep doing on your own. If maintenance suits you afterwards, that is your call, not a condition.
The bulk of my caseload is people whose pain has not gone away on its own, and who have already tried a few things.
Working with chronic pain forces you to get good at the thing most treatment skips, which is finding the actual driver rather than chasing the sore spot. It is slower and more diagnostic, and it is the reason people end up here after trying everything else.
A lot of that came from years working with AFL and elite level athletes. At that level you do not get to keep treating the same sore spot week after week. If it keeps coming back, you have not found it yet. The same thinking is what chronic pain needs.
I am a member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia, which is the accreditation your health fund recognises. That is what lets you claim on the spot rather than paying up front and chasing it later.
Chronic pain is not a one session problem, so the useful number is not the price of a massage. It is what the whole course of care costs, and that gets shorter and cheaper as you improve.
60 minutes. Assessment, first treatment, and a written plan to take home. Everyone starts here.
45 minutes. The working sessions, where most of the change happens.
30 minutes. Once things have settled and we are maintaining rather than chasing.
How many sessions you need depends entirely on what I find, so I am not going to guess at it on a web page. I will give you the full picture, end to end, before you book anything. No surprises and no packages you have to commit to up front.
Health fund rebates are processed on the spot with HICAPS if your extras cover includes remedial massage. You pay the gap only. I do not run introductory discounts, because the people they attract are not the people I can help.
